| About The Who: The story of the Who embodies the narrative of the proverbial search for meaning and identify amidst the ever whimsical and shifting landscapes of classic rock. The diversity of their members is matched only by the diversity of their music which often pushed the sonic envelope into new areas of musical discovery. Formed in the 60s, this British rock band was at once its own signature and style anticipating its future foray into rock opera and broadway musicals, as well as being very representative of "My Generation" -- the generation of guitar smashing, hard rock and doping. Riddled with contradiction, the four from London often failed to agree on career goals and musical paths which frequently saw them separated only to later reunite. The death of drummer Keith Moon in 1978 forever put the Who under the shadow of a lost identity and a band doomed to reunion tours. Their hit single "Who Are You" is a most apt question that largely remains unanswered. However, promises of new music, the first studio album in 25 years, is hoped to breath new life into a band that has always been as ambitious as it has been nostalgic.
